Welcome to NUIG Ladies Hockey Club! Connacht Hockey's One And Only University Club!

We have two teams who compete in Connacht Division 1 & 2 League & Cup, Irish Examiner Cup, Irish Trophy and Irish Challenge and the Intervarsities. Whether you've played before or fancy getting hooked for the first time, we cater for all levels. We give anyone who comes to regular training a chance to play.

Intervarsities

A very successful intervarsity tournament was held here in Galway from the 30th Oct-1st Nov 2011. 18 teams from colleges from around the country participated. The Chilean Cup (Ladies) was won by UCD. The Chilean Plate was won by Trinity College who beat NUIG (ourselves) 1-0 in the final in a very competitive match. The Mauritus Cup (Mens) was won by UCD while the Maurius Plate was won by CIT.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped us in hosting which ran smoothly from start to finish, culminating in the famous 'Varsities Ball' on the Tue night which was held in the Ardilaun Hotel followed by Monroe's Live.
