Racquetball is not up and running this year. If you are interested in running the club please contact the Sports Unit.
History
The NUI, Galway Racquetball Club was founded in 1988.
Achievements
The NUI, Galway Racquetball Club made it first ever appearance at the Irish Racquetball Open in Arklow last May, 2002. A group of four players traveled the long road to Arklow for the competition, which had entries from America, Canada, Holland, France, Germany and of course, Ireland.
Last November the NUI, Galway Racquetball club hosted the 1999/2000 Intervarsities. This competition had been neglected in previous years, mainly due to a lack of communication between the various colleges. However, we felt there was sufficient interest to merit restarting the championships.
Such was the success of the weekend that the club was invited to also host the Connacht Novices championship at the end of February.
