History
The NUI Galway Volleyball club has been an integral part of Galway University since 1975 and has been taking part in Intervarsity competitions since 1976. Internatinal students make up a large portion of the Men and Women teams each year, mixed with a core of Irish students. Men and women teams play at a high standard.

Intervarsities 2010 3rd place
Mixed blitz Dublin 2011 3rd place
VAI Championship 2011 Junior Cup 1st place
Italian Acli National finals 2011 (as special guest) 1st place mixed and 2nd male
Organization of the Intervarsities 2011 and 4th place
Mixed blitz Dublin 2012 3rd place
Blitz Cork 2012 1st place
VAI Championship 2012 1st place
Italian National Tournament UISP in Rome, 4th-8th July 2012 Men's 1st place, Mixed 1st place, Women's 2nd place
The volleyball intervarsities are taking place in Kingfisher, from the 17th to the 19th of November!
Around 24 teams (female and male teams) will come to Galway from universities all around Ireland for a 3 days tournament.
