Just to let you know that you may have students about whom you are concerned who may benefit from knowing that they can get help online from My Mind Matters (http://mymindmatters.ie/) for a whole range of issues from study and stress to feeling down and relationship problems.
There is a wealth of useful information and links to various resources. Students can also log on using their regular NUI Galway username and password to a secure area in the site where they can post questions for counsellors (which can be kept private if they wish) or apply for online counselling. As with all forms of counselling, our resources are of course finite, but we will respond to student needs as best we can.
These facilities might be particularly useful for those who study at a distance from the main college campus, for students on placement or on an Erasmus year, or simply for those who are not in Galway for the summer period.
As always, those who would like face-to-face counselling or advice can call to our offices in 5, Distillery Road (near AIB bank) any weekday from 2.15 to 4.15 pm, call 091 492484 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org
